About the USA truck board
The vehicle board is the other side of the load board: instead of loads looking for trucks, it lists trucks and vans with free capacity looking for loads. Brokers, forwarders and shippers use it to find a carrier near their pickup on the right date; carriers use it so that work comes to them.
Carriers post the truck’s location, available date and equipment, often from where their last load delivers. Under FMCSA hours-of-service rules a property-carrying driver may drive 11 hours within a 14-hour window and must take a 30-minute break after 8 hours of driving, so one driver covers roughly 500–600 miles a day.
Also known as: truck posting, available trucks, capacity.
How it works
- Carriers list a vehicle with its current location, available date, type and capacity.
- Brokers and shippers filter by location, date and vehicle type.
- Members with a paid, active plan see the carrier’s contact details and agree the job directly.
Questions
Should I check a carrier’s authority before booking a truck?
Yes. Look up the carrier’s USDOT and MC numbers, operating status and insurance on FMCSA’s SAFER system before you book.
What is the USA truck board?
A list of trucks and vans that carriers have marked as available, with their location, available date, vehicle type and capacity, so brokers and shippers in United States can find transport for a load.
