What a good load posting includes
- Exact pickup and delivery towns (or zip codes) and the date window.
- Equipment: trailer type, length, and special needs such as temperature, tail-lift or ADR/hazmat.
- Weight, pallet count or volume.
- A rate — loads with a posted rate get more serious replies than “rate on request”.
- Any loading constraints: appointment times, live load or drop, documents needed.
Posting on GigFreight
Plans: €79 a month in Europe, $29.99 a month in the USA (see pricing for the UK and Turkey). 3-day trial; no commission on loads.
- Create a broker account for your market — shippers and forwarders use the same account type.
- Complete company verification. Posting is open to verified companies on a paid plan or during the trial.
- Add the load with route, dates, equipment, weight and rate.
- The load appears on the public board in your account’s markets, so carriers can find it without an account.
- Carriers register interest; you choose and confirm the carrier.
Choosing a carrier safely
- Check operating authority: the carrier’s EU Community licence in Europe, or MC/DOT number and insurance on FMCSA records in the USA.
- Verify contact details independently — freight fraud often uses look-alike company identities.
- Agree the rate, payment terms and documents (CMR note in Europe, rate confirmation in the USA) in writing.
Frequently asked questions
