About the United Kingdom load board
The UK load board lists haulage work posted on GigFreight for Great Britain and Northern Ireland: domestic loads, return loads and backloads, and freight crossing to and from mainland Europe.
UK accounts see both UK and European freight, which suits hauliers who run cross-Channel work as well as domestic loads.

How the board works
- Brokers and shippers post a load with route, dates, equipment, weight and rate.
- Carriers filter the board by origin, destination, date and vehicle type, and sort by rate or rate per kilometre.
- Members with an active paid subscription see the poster’s contact details and agree the job directly with them.
What it is called locally
- haulage exchange (British English)
- freight exchange
- return loads / backloads (British English)
- loads that fill an otherwise empty return journey
GigFreight’s interface is in English.
Questions about this board
Can I browse United Kingdom loads without an account?
Load boards can be browsed without an account. Visitors see the route, dates, equipment and price of each load, but not the poster’s contact details.
How much does the United Kingdom load board cost?
Standard membership for the United Kingdom market costs £67 a month, £169 per quarter or £305 per six months. Elite, which adds Elite loads and priority matching, costs £109 a month. Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial; you can cancel before it ends. Prices are in GBP.
Who can see loads on the United Kingdom board?
Anyone can browse the listings. Accounts registered in the United Kingdom market see loads in Europe and United Kingdom. Posting loads is restricted to active paid subscribers and valid trials: the load is posted from a broker account — shippers and forwarders use the same account type — of a verified company, and is published in that account’s own markets. Carriers and owner-operators use the board to find work.
Are broker contact details included in the free trial?
Broker and shipper contact details on a load are shown only to members with a fully paid, active subscription. A trial gives access to the platform but not to load contact details.
