Finding van work
- Open the UK load board and set the vehicle type to “Van / Sprinter”.
- Filter by area and date; check weight and dimensions against your payload.
- Before each drop, search from that area for a return load.
Rules worth knowing
- Vans up to 3.5 t do not need an O-licence for domestic hire-and-reward work in Great Britain.
- International work in vans or van-and-trailer combinations over 2.5 t needs a standard international operator’s licence.
- Goods in transit insurance should match the value of what you carry.
Pricing van work and finding the way back
Same-day and courier work is priced on urgency and time as well as distance, so know your own cost per mile and per hour before you quote. After each drop, search from that area for a return job so the van does not come back empty.
