Running empty after a delivery costs fuel and driver time and earns nothing. Searching the board by the town you deliver to — and the date you are free — shows loads heading back towards your base, so the return leg earns instead of costing fuel.

1. Filter the UK board by pickup near your delivery point and the date you are free.
2. Sort by rate, or by rate per kilometre, to compare short and long legs fairly.
3. Contact the poster with your vehicle type and availability.

Part loads to and from France and Spain

UK accounts see European loads as well as UK ones. For part loads, set "Load type" to "Partial" or "LTL"; for work to France or Spain, choose the country under "Destination country", and for loads back to the UK choose it under "Origin country". How many part loads are listed depends on what posters publish that day.

For freight brokers and forwarders in the UK

• Post loads with route, dates, vehicle type, weight and rate.
• Reach UK hauliers and European carriers from the same posting — EU accounts also see UK freight.
• Use the vehicle board to find hauliers who have listed available trucks.

Loads from the UK to Europe

UK accounts see European loads as well as UK ones, so a haulier delivering to the Continent can look for the load out and the load back before setting off. Choose a European country under “Destination country” for outbound work, then search from the delivery country with “Origin country” for the way home; for vans, choose “Van / Sprinter” as the vehicle type. What is listed depends on the loads that posters publish.
